Three LumberJill volleyball players were named to the UMAC All-Conference team for the 2008 season. Junior Chelsea Lundgren was named to the 1st team, while Juniors Mel Anderson and Miranda Reichert were honorable mention picks. The Jills finished the season with a record of 13-19 overall and 5-9 in the UMAC good for 5th place.
Lundgren (Crosby, Minn.) had a solid junior season for the Jills. She was second on the team in kills with 253, led the team with 92 blocks, and led the UMAC in hittig percentage. Chelsea recorded 5 service aces, 85 digs, and 9 set assists for the Jills this season.
Anderson (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) led the Jills with 275 kills, including the 1,000th of her career. Melissa was third on the team with 31 service aces, and first on the team with 317 digs. She had 35 blocks, and 10 set assists during the 2008 season.
Reichert (Mosinee, Wis) led the Jills and the UMAC with 64 service aces. She had 105 kills, and 246 digs. Miranda was 6th in the UMAC with 789 sets assists for the Jills.
