Matt Fryer makes a save

Three LumberJacks were named to the UMAC 1st Team All-Conference on Monday.  

Senior Matt Fryer from Carpentersville, Ill.  had a solid season for Northland.  Matt is a three-time captain for Northland and made 160 saves for the Jacks this season.  Matt led the UMAC in saves per game with 10.  For his career, Matt made 393 saves, with 4 shutouts. 

Ben Hughey, a sophomore from Lodi, Wis. helped lead a very young LumeberJacks defense.  Ben also helped out of the offensive side with 2 goals.  

Melvin Thomas, a freshmen from Saint Peter, Minn. led the Jacks in goals with 5.  He also added 2 assists to lead the Jacks in points with 12.  Melvin scored the game winning goal in overtime against Martin Luther.  The LumberJacks will return all but one player from this year's squad.
