Senior Sarah Strobino was named UMAC player of the year today by the UMAC coaches. Strobino, who is from Buffalo, N.Y., scored 24 goals and added 4 assist for 52 points. Sarah is the first two-time UMAC player of the year in program history. She leaves Northland as the all-time leader in goals with 81.
Amanda Seely, a senior from Powell, Ohio, was also named first team all-conference. Amanda scored 11 goals and led the UMAC with 16 assists. Amanda graduates as the all-time leader in assists for the Jills with 37.
Mariah Cook, a senior from Washburn, Wis., was also named to the first team. Mariah had an outstanding season for the Jills scoring 19 goals to go with 11 assists. The 19 goals past her previous career high by ten.
Anchoring the Jills defense was Sophomore Rebecca Lake, from Portland, Oregon. Rebecaa helped lead the Jills' defense to nine shut outs this season. Rebecca also added 2 goals and 3 assists on the season.
Also getting recognized with All Conference honors were Melanie Rasor, a Junior transfer from Mundelein, Ill., who tallied 18 goals and 7 assists this season and sophomore Bryanna Johnson a staple in the Jills defense. Each received honorable mentions.
