The LumberJill Volleyball team lost in 4 games in a UMAC Semifinal match against the number 2 seeded St. Scholastica Saints Tuesday night in Duluth. The Jills lost the first game 25-13 and game two 25-15. They rebounded and came out strong in the 3rd game winning it 25-15 to stay alive and send the match to a fourth game. The Saints would eventually come out on top by a 25-15 score. The loss ends the season for Northland, the Saints advance and will play at Northwestern on Saturday for the UMAC Tournament Championship. The Jills were led in the match

Melissa Anderson (Sr. Brooklyn Park, Minn.) added 5 kills and 19 digs in her last match for Northland. Also contributing on offense were
Laura Fisher (Jr. Green Bay, Wis.) with 9 kills and
Alicia Wiebe (Jr. Ashland, Wis.) 8 kills and 3 digs. The defense was led by senior
Miranda Reichert (Wausau, Wis.) who tallied 23 digs in the match. The Jills end their very successful season with an overall record of 15-18. They were 9-5 in UMAC play and finished the regular season in 3rd place, the highest the LumberJills have ever finished in the regular season since joining the UMAC.
