The LumberJacks lost tonight on the road to the Finlandia Lions 8-6. The loss moves the Jacks to 4-17-1 overall and 4-12-1 in conference play. The Jacks and Lions would each score twice in 1st period for a 2-2 tie after one. The Lions found the back of the net 4 times in the second period to take a 6-3 lead after two. The Jacks would out shoot and out score the Lions in the third period to make in a one goal game before the Lions would put in an insurance empty net goal with 24 seconds left in the game. The loss now puts the Jacks ahead of the Lions by just two points for the last MCHA playoff spot. A win tomorrow for the Jacks would help secure a spot in post season play. Nicholas Hewko scored twice for the Jacks while Kraig Wright added four assists. The Jacks and the Lions will play again tomorrow with a playoff spot on the line, the puck will drop at 4 p.m. (EST).
