The LumberJacks earned a split with the UM-Morris Cougars, winning game one 6-2 and losing game two 5-4. The split moves the Jacks to 6-24 overall on the season and 4-14 in the UMAC.
Game one had no score until the 3rd inning when the Jacks were able to gain an early one-run lead. Ryan Johnson brought home Matt Tanneberg with a two-out single to center field. The Jacks would add another run in the 5th. Peter Aerts started the inning with a single, Bryce Szymanski moved him to second on a Sacrifice bunt. Aerts advanced to third on a single by Matt Tanneberg and Cody Carroll scored Aerts on a sac fly to right. The Cougars would tie the game at two with two runs in the 6th. The Jacks would take back the lead and add to it in the top of the 7th. Tanneberg doubled down the right field line to get the rally started. Carroll would follow with a walk. Johnson would single to load the bases. Craig Turner walked with two outs to bring home the winning run. The big blow of the inning came off the bat of Josh Spiegel who followed Turner with a 3 run double off the fence in left center. Tanneberg went the distance for the Jacks for the win striking out 7. Tanneberg would also help his cause with two hits, Johnson added 3 hits and an RBI. Spiegel also had 3 hits and 3 RBI's for Northland.

The Jacks would take the lead early in game two but could not hold off the Cougars as they won 5-4. Matt Tanneberg homered in the first to give the Jacks a 1-0 lead. Cody Carroll would double home Aerts in the 3rd for a 2-0 lead. The Cougars would tie the game in the bottom half of the inning with two runs of their own. Jeremy Snow would give the lead back to the Jacks with a solo shot in the 4th. The Cougars would then take the lead for good with two runs in the 4th and a single run in the 5th. Bryce Szymanski homered to start the 7th but that would be as close as the Jacks got. Tanneberg and Carroll led the Northland offense with two hits and a RBI. Szymanski and Snow also added RBI's.
