Box Score

The Jacks fell behind again in the second game as the Rams scored 3 runs in the 1st inning.  The lead would not last long as the Jacks battled back to tie the game at 3 in the bottom half of the 2nd inning.  Shaun Newman hit a run scoring single up the middle to bring home the first run and then Matt Tanneberg brought home two more with a single of his own.  The Rams would once again briefly take the lead scoring a single run in the top of the 4th.  The Jacks once again responded to take the lead by scoring 3 runs to make it 6-4.  Dan Salewski hit a one out single to get the rally started.  Matt Tanneberg brought home Salewski with a double down the right field line.  Cody Carroll then brought home Tanneberg with an RBI single and Ryan Johnson capped of the scoring with a RBI double to right center field.  The Rams were able to get the first two on in the top of the 6th before Juan Martinez brough them both home with a RBI double to left center.  The score would remain tied until the bottom of the 10th.  Both teams had chances to take the lead, but the strong relief pitching of Peter Aerts for the Jacks and Adam Zvanovec for the Rams kept it tied.  Shane Buckley started the 10th inning off with a single down the left field line.  Craig Turner then followed with a single down the right field line to put runners at 1st and 3rd.  The Rams would intentionally walk  Dan Salewski to load the bases.  Shaun Newman hit a chooper up the middle that the Rams shortstop Joe Robinson made a nice play on to cut the runner down at the plate.  The bases would remain loaded with one out as Tanneberg stepped up to the plate.  Tanneberg came through with his fourth hit of the game shooting a single pass the dive of the secondbasemen to bring home the winning run.  Tanneberg finished the game with the 4 hits and 4 RBI's.  Buckley added 3 hits and Josh Spiegel chipped in with two.  Driving in the other runs for the Jacks were Newman, Carroll and Johnson.  Peter Aerst picked up the win in relief going 5 2/3 innings.  He allowed 3 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned and struck out 6.
