The 2009-2010 LumberJill Basekball team was successful on the court and in the classroom. The Jills posted a team GPA of 3.455, which was ranked 16th in the nation. At this year’s Northland College Honors and Awards Banquet, Chelsea Lundgren has been awarded the Milton Gardner Award. The Milton Gardner Award is awarded to a student-athlete who demonstrated athletic and academic excellence during the previous academic year. During the 2008-2009 year Lundgren, was named to the All-Upper Midwest Athletic Conference First Team in both Volleyball and Basketball. She helped guide the LumberJill Women’s Basketball Team to UMAC Regular season and tournament championships. She also earned All-UMAC Academic Honors as well. Her 2008-2009 accomplishments were achieved while maintaining a 3.78 Grade Point Average.
