Head Coach
Steve Fabiilli
Coach Steve Fabiilli begins his fourth season as the Head Coach of the Northland Men's Hockey program and is the third head coach in Northland’s history. He graduated from Canisius with a degree in physical education in 2001 and earned his Master’s Degree in Sport Administration from Canisius in 2005.
Prior to his arrival at Northland College, Coach Fabiilli was an assistant coach at Canisius College where he helped guide the Griffins to a second place finish in the Atlantic Hockey Conference. The Griffs finished the season with an overall record of 16-15-4 and a conference record of 14-7-3. Over his two-year career as a collegiate coach, he has recruited and/or coached one finalist for the Humanitarian Award, one NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Award winner, one All-Conference Goalie, three All-Freshman Goalies, 26 All-Academic Team members, and two Academic All-Star Team members.
Fabiilli was a four-year letter winner for Canisius College. He finished his career with an overall record of 29-15-2 which ranks him fifth all- time. He also finished fourth all-time in goals against average with 3.19 and ninth all-time in saves with 1265. Coach Fabiilli was honored as Canisius College Male Athlete of the Year his senior year.
Coach Fabiilli is originally from Sudbury, Ontario and currently resides in Ashland.
