Student Athlete Advisory Committee
The Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was assembled by the NCAA to provide insight on the student athlete experience. It was designed to offer student athletes the opportunity to offer input on the rules, regulations, and policies that effect the lives of student athletes on NCAA member institution campuses.
There are separate SAAC's for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III. NCAA legislation mandates all member institutions have SAAC's on their representative campuses. The purpose of SAAC's on individual campuses is to generate a student athlete voice and support the campus and conference communities through community outreach efforts. The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference has a SAAC composed of two individuals from each of the eight colleges.
The Northland College SAAC advisor is Andy Ham, Sports Information Director and Head Baseball Coach. The students that represent the ten sports at Northland are listed below:
Women's CC: Aubree Meyer (So.) and Anna Rix (So.)
Men's CC: Nate Leurquin (Jr..) and Kevin Robertson (Jr.)
Volleyball: Sam Stanfield (Fr.) and Megan Zynda (Fr.)
Women's Soccer: Brye Johnson (So.) and Ali Durfee (Sr.)
Men's Soccer: Matt Fryer (Sr.) and Hunter Shira (Jr.)
Men's Hockey: Matt Tanneberg (Sr.) and Chad Moore (Jr.)
Women's Basketball: Mel Waytashek (Sr.) and Laura Fisher (Jr.)
Men's Basketball: Eric Krall (Fr.) and Michael Mackey (Jr.)
Softball: Stephanie Wilkinson (Fr.)
Baseball: Bryce Szymanski (Sr.) and Jeremy Snow (Jr.)
