ST. PAUL, Minn. - The LumberJacks went on the road and contended in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Game of the Week against North Central University. In a tight battle with playoff hopes in sight, the Jacks battled hard in the first half but the Rams second half scoring would be the deciding factor in a 76-54 result.

Freshman Emmae'i Hoard (Chicago, Ill.) would open up the scoring immediately with a 3-pointer assisted by sophomore Dan Campion (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan North HS). The first half would result in a back-and-forth battle. Although the Rams grabbed the lead and maintained their attacking threat, the Jacks never gave up and responded to tie up the score three times in the first half. The Jacks entered the locker room just 2 points short of a tie in a 27-25 matchup.

The Jacks would fight for points as the second half got underway, however the Rams offense proved to be relentless in their pursuit of a win. Hoard and Campion would combine for 13 points in the second half efforts. The Jacks were outshot 49-29 in the second half to finish their road weekend.

The Jacks enter the final weekend of UMAC regular season play this Friday. They host Martin Luther College at 7:30 p.m. at the "Ken".
