The LumberJills squared off against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Falcons tonight on the road.
The Jills fell behind early in the match, but would be able to quickly battle back. After falling behind by 11, the Jills would find their rhythm and cut down the Falcons lead to 6. The Jills would be able to trade points with the Falcons for the remainder of the first quarter. The Falcons were able to widen their lead in the second quarter and take an 18 point lead into halftime. The Jills would strike first in the third quarter and chip away at the Falcon lead. However, the Falcons would answer and add to their lead. The Jills would continue to chip away at the UW-River Falls lead, but it wouldn't be enough. The Falcons went on to win 66-40.
Katherine Taylor led the LumberJills with 17 points, while Emily Wagner added 7. Wagner also led with 3 assists. Mckayla Waggoner recorded 3 steals.
The Jills will be back in action tomorrow in Menomonie, WI against UW-Stout. Tip off is scheduled for 3pm.
