The LumberJills took on the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets at the Chapple Family Gymnasium tonight.

The Jills struck first in the first quarter, but the YellowJackets were able to answer and take the lead. The Jills would struggle to break through the YellowJackets' defense. The Jills went into halftime down 32-13. A 13-0 run by the Yellowjackets to start the second half would make it difficult for the LumberJills. The Jills kept battling throughout the half and chipped away at the YellowJacket lead. However, the Jills would be unable to overcome the deficit and would fall to the Yellowjackets 63-24.

Ashton Meadows led the Jills with 6 points, while Katherine Taylor and Sarah Houle each added 4. Autumn Wormet and Reagan Wellman each had 2 assists on the night.

The LumberJills will be back on the court 12/16 on the road against Bethany Lutheran College. Tip-off is scheduled for 4pm.

Northland College is an NCAA Division III institution located in Ashland, Wi. The LumberJacks and LumberJills sponsor 15 varsity sports and compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
