Ashland, WI - Game 2 put the Jills against the nationally ranked University of Northwestern Eagles. The Jills would keep the Eagles in check for the majority of set 1. The Eagles would jump out to a 13-7 lead, but the Jills quickly answered to cut the Eagle lead down to two. However, the Eagles would break the game open and rally to score 12 consecutive points to take set 1 25-11. Set 2 saw the Jills struggle to contain the offensive attacks of the Eagles. The Jills battled early on in the set, but the Eagles would pull away and claim set 2 25-10. The Jills would get out to a slow start in set 3, but would battle back to cut the Eagle lead down to 4. However, the Eagles would pull away later in the set to win 25-8.

Senior Camille Eastburn led the Jills with 5 kills. Senior Bethany Best would finish the night with 4, while Freshman Taylor Wiegert added 3. Junior Hannah Hitchcock recorded a team high 8 assists and 6 digs, while Freshman Justine Litherland finished with 4 digs.

The Jills will be back in action on the road against UW-Superior Tuesday. The game is scheduled to start at 4pm.
